Diawiser Privacy Policy

## 1. Who we areDiawiser (the "App") is operated by UAB Diawiser, company code 306324072, registered at Ateities gatve, Vilnius, Lithuania. UAB Diawiser is the data controller for your personal data.Contact for all privacy questions: [email protected]## 2. What the App is forThe App is used to take part in a scientific research study on how voice relates to blood glucose. The study is approved by the Kaunas Regional Biomedical Research Ethics Committee at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and registered at CTRI (India).Taking part is voluntary. You must be 18 or older. You can stop at any time without giving a reason. The App is a research tool. It does not diagnose, treat or monitor any medical condition and it is not a substitute for medical advice.## 3. What data we collectData you give us:
- Account data: your email address and a password (or your Apple or Google sign-in identifier).
- Consent data: your name, your electronic signature, the date and time you signed, and the version of the consent form you agreed to.
- Voice recordings: short recordings of you saying "aaah", counting from 1 to 10, and reading a short sentence.
- Glucose data: a screenshot of your glucose monitor (CGM) or meter, and the glucose reading you enter.
- Your language setting and your recording schedule.Data created automatically:
- A participant ID number that we use to label your study data instead of your name or email.
- Upload details, such as the date and time of each recording session.
- A push notification token, so we can send you recording reminders.## 4. What we do not collect- We do not collect your location.
- We do not collect your contacts, your calendar, or your photos other than the glucose screenshots you choose to submit.
- We do not read health, fitness or step data from Apple Health or Health Connect.
- We do not use advertising or tracking tools, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not use your voice to identify you.## 5. Why we use your data, and our legal basis- To run the research study and analyse the link between voice and glucose. Legal basis: your explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a)), because voice used for health research and glucose values are health data.
- To create and manage your account and send study reminders. Legal basis: your consent and the need to run the study you joined.
- To keep proof that you gave consent. Legal basis: our legal obligation and legitimate interest in documenting consent for research (Article 6(1)(c) and (f)).
- To keep the App secure and prevent misuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).You can withdraw your consent at any time (see sections 9 and 10). Withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of processing done before.We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising or marketing.Research partners: where the approved study protocol requires it, pseudonymised study data (labelled with your participant ID, without your name or email) may be shared with academic and clinical research partners, including the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. They may not try to identify you.Publications: any scientific results we publish contain only aggregated or de-identified data.We may disclose data if the law requires it.## 6. How long we keep your data- Account data (email, name on profile): until you delete your account.
- Consent records: for as long as the study data is kept, so that we can prove your consent.
- Study data (recordings, glucose screenshots and readings, labelled with your participant ID): for the duration of the study and as set out in the approved protocol. After that it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.## 7. Your rightsUnder the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, receive a copy of it, restrict or object to its processing, and have it erased. You can withdraw consent at any time.To use any of these rights, email [email protected] from the email address you registered with. We reply within 30 days.Limits: once study data has been irreversibly anonymised and included in an analysis, we can no longer find it or remove it. We will tell you if that applies to your request.You also have the right to complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of Lithuania (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija), www.vdai.lrv.lt, or to your local data protection authority.## 8. Delete your account and dataYou can delete your account yourself in the App: open the "You" tab and tap "Delete Account".What happens when you delete your account:
- Your login, your profile and your push token are deleted, and you are signed out.
- Your name and email are removed from your profile.
- Your consent record is kept, because we must be able to prove that you consented.
- Recordings and glucose data you already submitted stay in the study under your participant ID, which cannot be read as your name or email.## 9. Permissions the App asks for- Microphone: to record your voice. Required to take part.
- Photo library or camera: to attach your glucose screenshot. Required to take part.
- Notifications: to remind you to record.You can change these permissions at any time in your phone settings.## 10. SecurityWe protect your data with encrypted connections (TLS), private storage that is not publicly accessible, access controls so that only authorised study staff can open it, and labelling of study data with a participant ID instead of your name. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.## 11. ChildrenThe App is for adults only (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.## 12.
